  • I'm confused - please help me it's urgent

    Hi guys,

I'll simply sum up my problem.
I'm a medical student who will be doing 1 year of clinical clerkship in the US.

I am a canadian CITIZEN so I do not need a visa to study there. I've
done rotations in the US before for about 5-6 months and never had a problem
getting my passport stamped at the point of entry with proper documentation from my school.

Now I got married and I want to go back for about 8-11 months to do some rotations in the US
BUT this time I don't want to go alone. I got married and I want my husband to be able to come with me. But he is a CANADIAN PERMANENT RESIDENT so I know he needs a visa. But basically my question is WHICH VISA does he need to apply for?

I'm working on the Ds-160 application and I thought originally it was F2 but then I don't have a sevis ID or number so I'm stuck.

Can someone please help me. I'm very confused.

Thank you in advance, I really want to get this application in ASAP so please anyone who knows please help me out.

    Hai

Hey You can apply F-2 Visa for your husband. If you have a week in your hand. Ask your school to generate F-2 ( I-20 ). As per my understanding F-2 is the best one for your husband.

In other case apply for a tourist visa
