Hi Everybody,
I am on H1-B visa and I am getting married in June. My wife to be already got admission in one university and she wants to pursue higher education. So she wants to apply for F-1 rather than coming to the US on H4 and then converting to F1. Her semester starts in Fall 2005.
Another thing is my green card is under process but LC is not yet approved.
Can you please tell how hard it might be to get F1 for her in Mumbai consulate? Is it better to have name changed on her passport? Is it better to let them know that she is married? What could be the better way?
