  • OPT denied for no reason?

    Hello guys,

i wanted to see if any of you have gone through this situation. I applied for OPT and filed all my paperwork as my adviser at school guided, only that when I went to fill out the form online it gave me the option to pay online. I did so because I didn't have checks at the time.
I put all my information in and they told me not to send anything until I was asked for by Immigration. They sent my appointment for the biometrics which I did and got a stamp for, and waited until they either requested additional documentation or anything.
    They never did.
On dec. 5 they sent me a notice that they had denied my petition due to missing paperwork and my failure to provide it.
They never asked for anything and my adviser has emailed them a number of times explaining not only this but the fact that I followed every instruction to the T according to their websites and letters I received from them but they have only responded back with kind of automated responses about my case and not looking at the particulars.
Further more, if my case was lacking documentation, according to their website they have to do a request for evidence that they also didn't do, they went from sending me the biometrics appointment and verifying to denial without even giving me a notice online on their website or via Mail.

One of the questions I have is: Can I reapply for OPT if my case is denied because of missing paperwork and not a violation of my visa?
Has any of you had a denied OPT petition that has been reopened and approved afterwards?

    Opt denied pls help

    Hi ,
My initial opt has been denied by uscis and its been 104 days since my graduation. I have not yet received any denial letter. I am assuming it is because of the 30 day rule. Has anyone tried MTR. If yes can you please share your email address. My email address is : [email protected]. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
