inquiry about the F1 status

I am an international student. I entered in United States as student (F1 status) in 2004. i am doing my Masters right now adn i am half way through. Now, there is a twist. My parents has filed for Greencard for the whole family in 1998, which got approved in 2000. they have a greencard now but we came to know the case only in 2008. acording to what if i was under 21 i would have my greencard as well. But, anyhow we took a chance and filed i-485 for myself in 2011. which got denied in November 7th 2011. So, in this case. i want to know that my F1 status which i was maintaining for such a long time; what will happen to my current status? will it get revoked or i go back to my F1 status once the i-485 is denied. Also, if the my f1 status has been revoked, am i supposed to leave the country, is there any certain time period that i should be out of country like( within 3 months or 6 months). Please help!!! I will be really grateful to you.
