F2 travel times

I acquired an F1 visa from Ghana to study in the US. My family also got their F2 visa with me at the same in November 2011. I had to come early and get settled before I bring them in.
Please, are they supposed to come to the US within certain time period upon obtaining the visa? Or Can I just bring them in at any time so far as they had valid visas and passports.

There is no such rule. They can travel anytime before their Visas expire and as long as you are maintaining F1 student status.
