No, dependent Visa is for children and spouse only.
If your mother gets a Visitor Visa, she can visit you and stay with you for up to 6 months, but she will have to leave and stay outside of US for at least about 6 months after that. This is my opinion and not legal advice.

If I travel alone with my daughter what are other arrangements that I can make for my daughter while I study and work. Is there any arrangemnent for daycares or can I talk to similar people on this forum like how they managed.
May be in the start my mother can come with as visitor visa and when I settle down with my work and study then I may be able to manage.
Please guide.

Daycare arrangements are certainly possible. But it will cost you money.
Contact your school's international adviser, most good schools will help students with all these arrangements.
Getting a visitor visa for your mother will not be easy. She will need to show that she has ties to her home country and that she will return to home country after her trip. Taking care of your child is not considered an acceptable reason for Visitor visa. This is my opinion and not legal advice.

Sir, thank you for the information.
What are average costs for a child of 5year old + daycare in USA. My husband has worked in USA before in 2004 on L1 visa and I had come to USA on L2 visa for 1year. I plan to apply in mid of 2013.
My mother can prove that she has assets and property and children (sisters) to return to home country.
Thank you
