    Can we file for F2 and H1B visa simultaneously?

    I am a registered nurse in US. I am working under H1C visa which will expire in June 2012. My husband is on F1 visa now. Can another apply for H1B visa and I can apply for F2 visa around the same time to maintain my status as H1B doesnot start until oct 2012?

    Reply will be greatly appreciated.
