I am currently in H4 visa and I have got an admit in San Jose State University for my Masters in Software Engineering for Fall 2012.
I came to India, Chennai consulate for F1 visa and got rejected citing 214(b). Given this
1. Is it advisable to re-apper for F1 visa again in few weeks time? What are the chances and how to prove non-immigrant intent. Note- I was only asked about why I selected this univ and where my husband is working, before giving 214(b).
2. Can I re-enter USA and apply for COS to F1 instead of giving visa interview? Will F1 visa rejection affect COS petition to F1? In that case will it make a difference if my F1 visa was rejected once versus twice? If its possible to do COS, whats the timeline for COS?
3. If COS happens sucessfully and assuming I don't travel for next 2.5 years (hence no F1 stamping), will my current F1 visa rejection affect the OPT approval @ the end of my studies?
