Please help me with my situation.
My Situation is, right now im on 12 month OPT and it expires on Aug 11th 2012. I have to apply for an extension. My employer doesn't have a everification number, they registered for everification and they got one today. So I can apply for an extension now. I have an option to ask them to file h1b too.
1.I have done my masters in electrical engineering and the job I do is in IT. Will it be a problem in stem extension?
2. Instead of going for a OPT extension can I go for H1? If I go for an H1 can I still apply for OPT extension(in case if my h1 is rejected I can be on OPT extension). which one I should do first?
3. If you suggest me to take OPT extension, is ok If go to india in OPT extension?
4. If the company is filing for an H1 what will be my status after Aug 11th 2012 to OCT 1st?
Please suggest me what to, I am in a big confusion. Thanks in advance.
