Hello,
My OPT stem extension expires on July 14th, 2012. I have an approved H1B which gets activated from Oct 1st,2012.
I contacted my school for my cap gap I-20 & they mentioned that they can only issue if SEVP updates my status from F1 to H1. It's been 3 weeks and still my application is in pending status. My school called the SEVP a couple of times but they keep saying that the application is received and it needs to be reviewed.
My employer is insisting me to provide the I-20 by the end of June and failure of submission within the mentioned date would result in my Job termination for sure.
I'm not sure how to proceed with this situation. Can you please guide me here.
