F1 Visa in old passport... Is it valid if I get a new passport

Hi,
I have got my US student visa in my old passport. I am planning to change my (India) house address. I am given to understand that a new passport will be issued for the same. Is my US student visa available in old passport is still valid. Will I be able to travel by showing both the passports. Or should I go for new stamping. Can anyone clarify.
