Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this:
I am a Canadian Citizen (immigrated in 2004 and have been living in Canada since then). Recently, I got a job offer at a firm in the USA as a Computer Systems Analyst. I filled out and gathered my required documentation that I would need to apply to get a TN Visa in order to work in the United States. So when I went into the visa office this past Friday, the officer rejected me as my certification from Microsoft in Computer Science was of one year and they stated that the minimum required is two years. But I did my research and learned that if my work experience is large, there is a way around it by "giving up some experience" in lieu of certification. I've been working in the Computer Science industry for 25 years and have held over 5 jobs in the past 25 years as a Computer Programmer or something similar post. My knowledge and work experience are very diverse and I have dedicated my life to the Computer Science industry.
My agency that I work through stated that I perform a verification of my work experience from WES (which is highly considered in the US for verification) so that I can be re-evaluated and potentially accepted for the TN Visa so that I can work in the USA and accept my new job offer. Although I could not find any option on WES that was relevant to what I needed, I found "job seekers" which is for International Education Verification but nothing that I can verify my work experience with. I just wanted to know if there is anything I can do in order to get my work experience verified or if there is another way? I have around 7 years in Canada while another 15 years or so in Pakistan.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
