  • Getting a TN visa and crossing the border

Hi, I almost have a offer from US ready and I just wanted to know what's the best sequence for me.
    1) Can I go to POE, get my TN, take Uturn and return back to canada, then come back 3-weeks later with all my stuff in the trailer, and cross the border?? OR do i have to do all the moving and getting TN in the first shot?
    2) Is there a list of documents I need to bring or fill up before I cross the border with the trailer? Is there any duties I will have to pay?
    Thanks!

You may want to go with your belongings on the first journey through the point of entry to prevent an further hold up at the border or additional interviews. If you have any questions or need assistance regarding the TN visa visit the links below.

Right, but there is one little issue. My wife is a Canadian PR and she can't go to the POE with me. She has to go to the embassy WITH my approved TN status. So I HAVE to come back to Canada right after TN approval to give to my wife, so she can present it to the officer at the interview. Are there any other way for me (canadian citizen) and my wife (canadian PR) to cross smoothly with no risk of rejection? Is it almost 100% that my wife will be approved TD if I have approved TN?
