TD non-immigrant visa benefits

Hi all,

I am a Canadian citizen, living and working in USA. My wife will be living with me on US visitor visa in USA. She will be giving birth to a child in US next year. Is there a need to get TD visa for her or she can live and give birth on visitor visa? What are the advantages of obtaining TD visa over tourist visa?

TD can stay for a long time, as long as your TN. B2 can usually stay for at most 6 months.
