Hi,
I am on TN for close to 6 months now.
I have an I-797 that is valid for 2.5 years more.
I went on vacation and while leaving the country I submitted my I-94.
My previous I-94 was issued for 3 years.
But recently when I entered USA (from a third country), at the port of entry, I was given the I-94 that is valid for only 1 year. When I asked the CBP that my I-94 has to be for 2.5 years more as mentioned on the I-797, the officer said that you will get for only 1 year, and he/she was not willing to issue me the I-94 for more than a year.
What options do I have now, to get an I-94 for the full TN period?
Please help and give me your valuable suggestions.
