  • Renew TN Visa at Border??

Hi, I have been reading a lot of comments on different posts that you can get TN Visa on border? As a Mexican under TN for 6 years, (with 2 renewals) Is it possible to renew the Visa in the border? The renewal is always managed by my employer attorney https://omegle.onl/https://xender.vip/ .

Extra Question: what happened that now you cannot get the interview waiver? ( we got it on 2022)

    Thanks

It's probably confusion due to misuse of terminology. You can never get a US "visa" at the border. You can only get a US visa at a US consulate abroad (with rare exceptions for getting a visa inside the US that are not relevant here).

Canadian citizens do not need a visa to enter the US in most nonimmigrant statuses, including TN status. Therefore, a Canadian citizen would simply go to the US border, with the evidence that they qualify for TN status, to be admitted into TN status. Canadian citizens sometimes call the I-94 and their status a "visa" even though it is not a visa. Canadian citizens can also simply leave the US and immediately re-enter, to seek a new TN period of stay, again because they don't need a visa.

As a Mexican citizen, you do need a valid visa to seek entry to the US. So leaving the US and re-entering into TN status would only work if you currently have a valid TN visa (or if you apply for a new TN visa while outside the US).

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
