I will be moving early December to the states and would appreciate some financial clarity.

I’ve seen a lot of of posts regarding TFSA’s, FHSA’s and RRSP’s and have gathered that:

A tfsa is a hassle to keep and should be liquidated

FHSA is not recognized and should be liquidated

RRSP is fine to keep. router login 192.168.l.l.link/

What about actual cash within a Canadian checking and savings account?

does this have any tax impact?

    what impact does interest have?

Can I keep my cash in CAD as I don’t want to lose money from conversion?

What experience do people have with keeping a non registered account of stocks and etfs?

As far as I know, Canadian checking/savings accounts can be saved, but the interest is subject to US tax.

Can I keep my cash in CAD as I don’t want to lose money from conversion? I was just recently interested in this topic - specifically real money in a Canadian checking account. Since I have a new interest in the gambling industry. I started reading here about casino withdrawals. I was interested in absolutely everything, especially since I am paranoid and always check everything 10 times. Surprisingly, everything is written as clearly as possible. But I still plan to read additional information.

If I were you, I would consult a tax expert.
