about TD visa

I am in america on TD visa.
I want to practice volunteer as pharmacy intern (ss# not required for pharmacy intern)
on TD visa i cannot work but I can study in USA.
question is 1) can I practice volunteer internship ? is internship part of education/study ?
will appreciate your reply.

TD and student visa

TD is not permitted to work but is allowed to study part time.

When you study part time, you can remain your TD. You definitely cannot do paid internship while study part time because paid internship constitutes "employment". Whether you can do volunteer internship is not an easy question. I couldn't find any statutes directly address this issue, but USCIS usually considers any volunteer an "employment" if the position would otherwise have been a paid position.

However, if you plan to study full time, you will have to change to F-1 student visa. There are all sorts of rules govern F-1 student's internship.
