Hi,
I was planning to conduct a job search and relocate to the United States this summer... but my plans have hit a bit of a roadblock because I don't have a degree in my field of study, and I'm concerned if I'd be eligible for a TN or H1-B visa.
I work in IT, but my bachelor's degree was in molecular biology. I did take severalcomputer science courses, but I have not completed an official program (major or minor).
In addition, although I've been working in the field since 1999, I spent a little more than a year working on my own business idea... so I have about 11.5 years years working for companies.
What is the likelihood I can get a TN visa given my situation? I've searched online forums quite a bit, but I have yet to read any cases of people with life sciences degrees getting a TN or H1-B for a Computer Systems Analyst role...
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
