Transit visa for Spain

Hello,

I am traveling from USA through spain in October to India. Layover in Spain is about 2 hours. I am a citizen of India with an expired visa in the passport. In USA on non immigrant status. Can you please advice if i will need a transit visa?

I don't think you need transit visa for passing through spain for waiting 2 hours........

Thanks for the response. I want to be certain. Will try and check with Spanish embassy as well.
