Hi all... I hold a Malaysian passport and am planning to visit Peru, transitting via USA. However, I'm not going to leave the airport during the transit... so the question is, do I still need to apply for a Transit C1 Visa? The third paragraph on https://www.immihelp.com/usa-c1-transit-visa/ says that a transit visa is useful because if there is a long delay between transit flights on the same day, one can go out of the airport to do some shopping, etc. This paragraph suggests that if one does not plan to leave the airport, then one does not require a transit visa. Is this correct? Thanks!
