Regarding travel to India with L1 before expiry

My Visa is going to expire on Nov 5th. I am planning to travel to India on one month vacation in Aug/Sep.
My Questions is, as my visa will have only 1 month validity by the time I come back from India, is it possible to travel like this or any minimum validity period requirement to come to US on L1? My idea is to file extension after come back from India. Please advice. Thanks....
