Can you answer a visa issue?
I am a Ukrainian doctor living in the Ukraine and I will be working as a ships doctor for Greenpeace in December, joining the ship in Tahiti and flying via the USA (Los Angeles).
The ship will be visiting ports in the USA from February, so when I disembark, to fly back to the Ukraine, again is it just a transit visa that will be required?
Can you tell me what visa is needed if a transit visa will not suffice?
What is the cost?
What documents are needed?
How do I make an appointment?
How long to process?
Unfortunately the American Embassy website is unavailable at the moment hence the questions, and having telephoned the embassy in Kiev 5 times and been told to look at the website or call back when someone can answer the questions is very frustrating.
