Travel to Nepal

I am an American citizen. I will be travelling to Nepal in September and returning in October. I will pass through Delhi, India, on September 28 and again on October 15. This is more than a 15 day spread, so can I still get ONLY a transit visa for India?

Do you intend to enter India? If you are in international transit and have no intention to go into India why are you applying for a Transit Visa.

In some countries like France if you are switiching airport you may need one for certain nationalities but not for Us citizens.

Also Nepal has VISA on arrival.
