Transit Visa - Using twice

Hello

I'm from Brazil, and have a trip planned to Canada, going 10th of July and coming back 1st of August. I haven't been able to find affordable flights that don't connect in the US. So I would like to know. If I apply for a transit visa, will I be able to change planes in the US both times (On my way to Canada and then on my way back to Brazil)? Or do I somehow need two transit visas?

That depends upon the validity of your transit visa and whether it is single entry or multiple entry.

I'm having trouble filling the DS-160 form. I chose "Transit visa", but I have to answer questions like

"How long do you plan on staying in the US?"

How do I answer this? The options begin in 1 day. But if I choose 1 day, won't it automatically assign me to B1 visa, or something like that, considering the website clearly states that 'if you plan to stay even 1 day in the US, you'll need a b1 visa instead'?. And where, in that section, do I point out that I need a visa for entering twice?

Another one is

"Where do you plan to stay while in the US?"

Since I'm only going to connect flights, do I put the names and towns of the airports I'll be passing through?

I thought about leaving these entries blank and explaining my case in detail in a posterior section, but the form won't let me choose 'next' if I leave blank entries.
