Transit via Frankfurt

Hello,
I am a student going to USA on student's visa...i have a stopover at Frankfurt airport for around 6 hours.
Is it possible for me to meet somebody in the Frankfurt airport (somebody who has a German visa)?
I would not require a airport transit visa because I have a valid USA visa...

As long as you are within the transit area of the airport and you don't want to go out, you don't need any German visa.
