Transit Visa _ british

I'm travelling from Miami to Mumbai, via British. I DONT have HI-B visa stamped on my passport, and NOT planning to go to Mumbai consulate as they are under construction.

SO BOTH THE sides, I will NOT have my visa on my passport.

DO I need any kind of transit visa etc while travelling through british based on my Advance Parole and EAD.

Yes, you will need UK DAT Visa. If you are Indian citizen you will not need any Visa for India.

UK Transit visa with I797A

Hi,
I am an Indian citizen currently working in US on h1b visa, i have got my visa confirmation (I797A) document with me and a student visa which expires in 2013 (even though i am out of school for more than a year, i dont have valid I20). I am going to India in December for getting my H1b visa stamped. I have booked my flight to Chennai from Houston via Heathrow airport. I will be returning the same way back to houston in 3 weeks. My question is, will i need a transit visa while transiting in Heathrow?
if yes should i have to apply to two visa as i will be going and coming back via Heathrow.
