I'm flying to and from US from a VWP country and have ESTA approval. During my vacation I will also drive to Canada and back with a rented car to visit some friends in Canada for a couple of days. When I re-enter US from Canada, do I need to fill out I-94W since I am crossing the border by land?
I assume that if I would not go to Canada and back, I-94W would not be necessary since I am flying back home and the form is no longer used at air and sea ports (if my understanding of the matter is correct)? What do I do with the I-94W when leaving the US? Return it to the carrier at the check-in desk?
Thanks for the answers.
