Hi Guys,
I work on a liveaboard boat that will be going from the caribbean where it is based to Miami for a few weeks so we can do a few repairs etc.
My boss has asked if I can get a B1/B2 visa, which seems quite tricky in regards to the fact there is no immediate US consulate close to me for an interview and so forth combined with the fact that I am living and working outside of my resident country (Australia).
I do, however, have an ESTA visa and was wondering if anyone could explain the differences.... from what I see the ESTA allows you to stay in the US for up to 90 days, while the B visa's allow for up to 6 months?
If we are just going to be repairing our boat and I won't actually be seeking employment or anything in the US, do you think the ESTA will be ok?
Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks
