I just got sworn in to become a US citizen. Now I am about to submit an application for residence for my husband. He is in the Caribbean, the only problem is he has a pending case in NY Long Island which came to haunt him in 2009. We have a criminal lawyer, waiting to represent him. Due to this he has not been able to travel back to the states. Was told by the immigration that he cannot come back to the US without a waiver,'. Been trying to get the a waiver but nothing yet. My husband did not plead guilty. Hence our lawyer made us aware that this maybe in his favor.
