how to obtain a vwp

If anybody can help I would be grateful,I am a UK citizen I have never been abroad and was unaware there could be a problem with me entering the USA with a spent conviction for possession of cannabis,I was told about this visame waver program but don't no how to ho about getting one...please help

If you have a UK passport, you can enter the USA with a Visa Waiver Program (VWP). No need to obtain it, but you'll have to get an ESTA form to be able to travel with VWP, in which you can obtain thru online. Just type in ESTA on Google search.

Now you said, you're bringing Cannabis? As in the plant? That will be a problem since there are immigration rules about bringing certain stuff. I suggest to do some research on Google with immigration and customs' rules with the airport you will be arriving on
