working for a canadian company in the US as a non-canadian, ESTA or H1-b??

Hello,

I'm a canadian permanent resident with a Hungarian passport and I 'll be working for and paid by a canadian company in the US for 3 weeks?

I'm not clear if I need an H1-b VISA, because I won't be paid by a US company.

I also did the VISA Wizard and it says that I can qualify under ESTA VISA waiver program.

Does anybody have any experience with that or any idea about this situation?
