Hello,
I am on my F1 visa using my OPT, which expires on July 16th. I have applied for H1B visa but I will most likely not get approved. I have a few questions regarding my options to stay without it affecting my future chances of getting an ESTA approved:
- Does my 60 days grace period start when my OPT expires or does it start when my H1B s denied, if that occurs later than my OPT expiration date?
- I have signed up for Chicago Marathon and need to be back in the US for October 7th. How likely is my ESTA to be denied if I apply shortly after my OPT expires, if I return to Sweden as soon as I can? So basically: can I apply for ESTA right after OPT expiration/H1B denial?
- If I were to overstay my OPT grace period with a few weeks, would that mean I would never be granted an ESTA again?
