Answering work phonecalls or emails after entering on holidays using ESTA

Hi Everyone,

I am being sent emails and invites to attend work related phonecalls. I entered the US on ESTA and declared I was doing so on holiday.

If I take a number of these throughout my trip will this be a problem in the future? I heard of CBP examining travelers phone records and laptops.
