Here is my situation:
I'm a Brit, flying from London to Miami by AA, and then catching a flight from Miami to Cap Haitien (Haiti) by Lynx Air. I'm returning to the UK via Miami after 74 days (ie. less than 90 days). I have already booked the non-refundable tickets, and have been informed that Lynx are not signatories of the visa waiver program (VWP).
However, I have read [L=here]http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/visawizard/visawizard006c.html[/L] (website of US Embassy in London) that I can 're-enter the United States on the return journey, using any mode of transport' if I am transiting to 'Canada, Mexico or the adjacent islands'. Does Haiti, being a Caribbean island, fall into the category of 'the adjacent islands'? If so, does 'any form of transport' mean even carriers not signed up the VWP?
