Hi everyone.
I've been trying to find out for ages about the first use of the h1-b visa. Ideally Id like to already be in the country staying with friends beforehand on the visa waiver program, however I have a gut feeling that somewhere I read something about having to be outside of the US for X amount of time before the first use of the visa, but I cant find anything about it.
If anyone could clarify it would make my day. What I need to know is if I
a) can be in the country up to the start date, and then continue staying in the country
b) can be in the country up to the start date, pop down to mexico for the day and come back through customs and activate the visa or maybe the international terminal of an airport..hehe.
c) can be in the country up to X days before the visa is meant to be activated, take a trip home and then activate the visa going through customs. If this is the case then how many days?
