Changes to Transit Visa Waiver

Hi,

We have been informed that the scheme is to be revised from 1 Jan 2009. We have an aged relative who will be travelling to visit us in New Zealand from Ireland December 2008 and will be returning late January 2009.

She is an Irish citizen and will be travelling on a EEC passport.

Presently she qualifies for under that waiver. Will that change for her return trip of have we been misinformed.

She still qualifies for visa waiver. However, she needs to take the authorization for travel in advance. It is called ESTA.
