Change to O-2 from VWP

Hi I was hoping someone could help me, I am currently on Vacation in the US but I need to change to O-2 status due to some upcoming work, will I have to leave the US to apply for this or can I do it in here?

One of the requirments of the O2 is that you have unique skills that you support another O1 Visa person ( such as muscician, photographer, sports person etc).

How do you convert to an O2 from a tourist VISA. Didn't the O1 have another person who he lost.... it might seem a little fishy that someone on a Tourist Visa is now converting to O2 ( Inside the US).

I would suggest that if you apply from outside the US you would have a better chance...

However if you have iron clad experience, reference etc to prove, I guess you maybe good.
