Hello All,
Just wanted to let you know that my parents paid a visit to the Mumbai consulate and the Visa Officer granted them a 10 Year Visa. Thanks a bunch to this forum and I thought it would be nice to give back my feedback as well that could benefit the others.
The brief of the interview questions is as under:
VO: So is he (my father) your husband?
Mom: Yes he is my husband!
VO: Is he a good man?
Mom: Yes he is very good man (She better say so
).
VO: OK I beleive you if you say so.
Mom: Thank you!
VO: So it seems your son is in the US?
Dad: Yes.
VO: Where is he in US?
Dad: He is in xxx and gives him my I-134
VO: So you have grand children in US?
Mom: No, we have grand children here, my son and his wife are in the US and infact my DIL is on the family way!! (Beleive me, I did not know my mom could come up with such an answer!!! Brilliant.....Touch wood!!)
VO: Oh I See!!
VO: So what do you do? (To my Dad)
Dad: I have a business in India and showed him his company brochure.
VO: OH OK.
VO: Well Thank you and you will get your Visa by post in two days. Have a safe trip.
Mom: Thank you and you are a nice man too!
VO: Thank you and it seems you are a good judge too!!
Seems like they had gone for a breakfast and tea chit chat rather than a visa interview!!
