I was trying to schedule the interview for my parents and i went thru the site and started filling the details and finally i see that is there Add Dependent ” if you have a family member (including a child) who needs to apply for a visa with you. so do i need to add my mom as dependent or i need to schedule separately for my mom.....

Father and mother can apply together.

Therefore, if both of them want to apply for visitors visa together, you should create a profile for your father, and your mother in it. Do not create a profile for you. You are just doing it on behalf of your father.
