NOC requirement for Government Job

Hi,

My parents are going to the consulate on 1st August for Visitor's Visa. They are in a government job. They will be unable to get an NOC (No Objection Certificate) from their employer before 1st August. Does anyone know how important this document is, would a letter from the employer stating that they will be on leave be sufficient.

Hi,

My father is a Govt employee. I was told that we have to apply passport after taking the NOC letter. My father had tried for NOC for 4 months and finally it is given and he appplied passport. The passport granted but waiting to get those to home in the post. In this forum they specified NOC documents is required by govt service employee to show it in the visa interview.

Nowadays getting a NOC letter is really a pain in India...

I hope I get the visa appt ASAP and I need my parents here by Dec end. 2005

NOC is a pain

I hear all of you. My dad got his NOC in 4 months and then got his passport in 2 months after that. Now his interview is in two weeks and i highly doubt if he will get another NOC again that soon. is there anyway around this? can the counslar look at the NOC for passport and be satisfied or not? Damn NOC's!!!!!

I think copies of NOC is enough to show it in visa interview if they ask for it. I asked my parents to take copies before submitting the original for the passport. Passport should be also enough to say that it will be granted only after we submit NOC, but i am not sure... I have one question do we need to show leave saction letter in the visa interview?

what is NOC

No Objection Certificate..! how to get it fastly..what are the rules for the NOC...Why it takes more time to granted..
Really it is a pain India..
