Visa validity required to sposor visitor visa?

Hi,

I am planing to get my In Law's to USA on visitor visa, I have H1-B which is expiring on feb19th. I wanted to know If this might be cause of rejection? although I have applied for Extension to my company, they say it is going to take another 4 weeks for them to apply for extension to USCIS, should I wait for the extension to be applied and then send acknowledgement of extension for the visa appointment? or I can apply immediaetly try to get an appointment? I want my In-Laws to be here by jan15th atleast.

When is your I-94 expiring? If its also expiring by Feb 19th advisable to get extension first. Also, visitor visa depends more upon the visitors ability to demonstrate the need and inclination to come back to their home country. So if your in laws can self sponsor it will increase their chances.
