Will marriage certi be asked for interview if spouse travelling on self sponsorship?

In the VISITOR's VISA interview will they ask to produce, the marriage certificate(original) or even a photocopy of it, if a person is travelling to USA on self sponsership, having his spouse already in US on H1B?
