Hi,
I reside in Virginia, my student visa (F1) expired after my BS. I've joined MS & have a valid I-20, will get stamping of a new F1 visa when I visit India this Dec. I plan to travel via Machester Airport (UK) where my relative boards the flight. I'll appreciate if someone please helps me with the following Q's:
1. I understand I need a transit visa, eventhough I do not want to wait at the Manchester Airport more than for the connecting flight. Only UK embassy I can apply to is in New York, so want to apply via mail, how to go about it?
2. Need an address to send the forms to.
3. Do I need to mail my original passport with the form?
4. Any recommendations for applying by other means than postal mail?
5. I want to leave the US on Nov 26-27 weekend, ok to apply for transit visa this early? or do I wait for a few more months?
I'm in despirate need of help & can't find answers to above questions elsewhere. Travel Agents tell a different story each time I ask them. I sincerely thank you for taking time to read & respond to this post!
Regards,
Anuj
