Visitor Visa domestic travel without passport

Hello All,

I have a question.
My parents who are on B2 visitor visa are here in USA.
We are willing to visit canada and want to apply for visa here in USA.

With the recent changes looks like we have to submit their passports to the embassy with application forms and they will hold it until processing, could be 30days or so.
in this case, can some one who is on B2 visitor visa, does not have any US government issued ID, can travel within USA(domestic travel)?

*They have valid photo ID like PAN Card, Drivers license issued by Govt of India.

Can someone please guide here.

For them, only Indian passport would be valid photo ID when they travel in domestic flights.

Other Indian documents that you mentioned are not acceptable.

I also checked with the airline we are flying with, but they said, any gov issued photo ID is valid even if it is non-US govt.
So i am confused again.

Only foreign passports are accepted. Check TSA website.

If they can visit the Canadian Embassy/consulate and apply in person, that will be much quicker than applying by mail. They generally return the passport within 3-4 days at Canadian embassy in DC.

but the problem is every consulate has changed their process, now every consulate accepts in mail applications only.
not sure if you recently visited DC consulate and applied in person. if so please let me know.

You can TRY using an Indian DL, but you'd be taking a huge risk.
