  • I 94 stamped in correctly.

    Hi

I entered USA on B2 visa in Nov 2012 and at the port of entry, my I 94 validity date was stamped for Nov 2013. This means that instead of the six months validity, I was give one year. I want to know if my I 94 is really valid for a year or was it a mistake of the CBP officer.

I dont know if this is a happy coincidence or do I need to get it corrected by the CPB officer?

No way. It's a mistake, and you'll have to leave in 6 months.

Please visit your nearest CBP office and contact deffered inspection office and show them the stamping. They will change the date if they feel a wrong date has been stamped.
