  • Canada to USA

My parents are planning to visit me in November. My brother lives in Toronto , canada and they are planning to visit him first and then come to visit me in US. They have already got the Canadian visa . The US visa interview is scheduled for August 9th.

    I have two questions:

    1. Should they inform the visa officer that they are planning to enter US from the Canadian side after visiting my brother in Canada?

2.Also can they request for multiple entry between US and Canada?

    Thanks for your time.

1.Yes, they can if the consular asks.
    2. Usually , if parents are granted a visa, they are given a long term multiple entry visa.

      Prem,
Can you post your parents interview summary after it is over. My Dad's is the similar case. He is going to first visit my brother at Canada and then me here in the US. His interview is on Aug 30. He had applied for Canadian visa and they have asked him to for a medical exam. Did your parents also had to get their medical done? If yes how long did they have to wait to get letter from consulate after the exam?

      Thanks in advance!
