Hi My mother got her Visa for 10 years in 2002. At that time, I have provided all the documentation like paystubs, W2's,bank statements etc. Since 2002, she has visited USA 4 times and on all the occassions, she never overstayed and has good records on the passport.
Now I would like to renew her B1/B2 visa. When I look at the site traveldocs.com, it says she has to go thru the visa interview again. That is she has to go thru the OFS and visa interview. There is a bit difference in her status now. SHe was a govt employee at that time, but now she is retired. At that time, she had an unmarried son, but not now.
So the questions I have are
DOes she really have to go thru the interview process, or will she qualify for the visa renewal (waiver or drop box etc)?
Second, if she need to go thru the visa interview, do I need to provide again all the documentation like paystubs, W2's,bank statements etc ?
Since she already had 10 years of visa, will that be an advantage ,what are the chances of she getting again 10 years of visa ,give the above conditions.
Please share any positive and negative points and things that we need to be careful about.
Thanks,Lucky
