Step By Step process inside the consulate...

Hello all,

My parents are attending for visitor visa interview next week. Can someone please let me know the overall process inside the consulate like where we need to submit the passports, documents etc. I understand that OFC appointment is very straight forward as we need to take Passport, visa appointment letter, DS-160 confirmation page, Original visa fee receipt and photographs they will take finger prints and return all docs ...but I want to know the step by step process inside the consulate so that I can guide my parents before to make them comfortable.

Please provide the details like where they need to submit the passports, documents etc.

My parents went to visa interview yesterday and got the visa successfully.

1.Ask them to be in the consulate before half an hour.

2.In the gate the security checked their appointment confirmation page and passport.

3.Security check.

4.In the first window hand over the Passport, visa appointment letter, DS-160 confirmation page, Original visa fee receipt and i think in the OFC they gave some paper with a seal.

5.Wait for their turn and second window is the actual visa interview.

I think the consulate people are providing a better guidance ,my parents are from village and they didn't had any problem inside consulate.So don't worry about it...
