Bank Balance req for sponsoring Parents' Visa

Is it mandatory to have and show a good bank balance for sponsoring parent's visa?
I am a full time employee and have been in US for last 3.5 years...I have been having constant and regular paycheks , but I never had hefty bank balance as I have been sending my savings to Indian Account. Howz it going to impact?
And what is the minimum balance to shown if it is required?

Also, does my credit score has any impact on sponsoring?

Your credit score doen't have any impact on sponsoring visitor visa. You can show around $5k bank balance.
